Science Experiments!

Today, we conducted our science experiments as part of our 'Science Fair' topic.  Unfortunately, lots of them didn't pan out as we'd hoped - except this one.  Check it out - it was AWESOME!

Zoo Trip

As part of our topic study on endangered animals, Rooms 6 and 19 visited the Auckland Zoo today.  The first part of our visit was a self-guided tour, while the second part involved learning about tigers and orangutans, two endangered animals.  Many thanks to all the parent helpers who came along - without you, this trip would not have been possible.

Cartesian Co-Ordinates

We love maths in our class!  Today we started our new Geometry topic, where we will be learning about position, orientation and rotation.  Here is the problem we worked on today (very enthusiastically, I might add!!), with a few photos to go with it.

Tennis Coaching

Today, we had our second session of tennis coaching with Jordan.  It was great fun!  We have now learned how to hit a forehand shot and a backhand shot.  Here is a video and a few photos from today.
